Welcome to Mileage Tracker. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our Android application.

2. Data Collection

Local Storage: Mileage Tracker is primarily an offline-first application. All data regarding your fill-ups, odometer readings, and costs are stored locally on your device using an internal database.

Information you provide:

  • Vehicle odometer readings.
  • Fuel costs and volume.
  • Dates of fill-ups.
  • Fuel station names.
  • Optional notes.

3. Advertising

Mileage Tracker may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising services, including Google AdMob.

Ads help support the ongoing development and maintenance of the app while allowing Mileage Tracker to remain free to use.

Google AdMob may automatically collect certain information from your device, such as:

  • Device information (device model, operating system version, etc.)
  • Advertising identifiers
  • IP address
  • App interaction and diagnostic information

This information is collected and processed by Google in accordance with its own privacy practices and may be used to provide, personalize, and measure advertisements.

Mileage Tracker does not share your mileage records, fuel logs, notes, vehicle information, or other locally stored tracking data with advertising providers.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Mileage Tracker offers an optional Premium subscription that unlocks additional features. All payments are processed exclusively through Google Play's billing system. Mileage Tracker and its developer do not collect, process, or store your payment card details, UPI information, or any other financial account information at any time.

To manage subscription status — such as verifying an active purchase and detecting renewals, cancellations, or refunds — Mileage Tracker uses RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. When you make or restore a purchase, the following information may be shared with RevenueCat:

  • An anonymous app user identifier, not linked to your name, email, or other personal identity.
  • Purchase and subscription transaction data, such as the product purchased, purchase date, renewal status, and expiration date.
  • Device and app version information necessary to validate and manage your subscription.

RevenueCat does not have access to your locally stored mileage records, fuel logs, vehicle information, or notes. This data remains on your device and is never transmitted for subscription management purposes. You can review RevenueCat's own privacy practices at revenuecat.com/privacy .

Managing your subscription: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time directly through Google Play (Play Store app > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions), or through the in-app subscription management screen. If you cancel, you will retain Premium access until the end of your current paid billing period, after which the app reverts to its free feature set. Your existing locally stored data is never deleted or altered as a result of a subscription change.

Refunds for purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google Play's refund policy and are handled directly by Google, not by the developer.

5. App Permissions

The app may request the following permissions:

  • Storage (Read/Write): Required to export your data as CSV/PDF files and to import CSV backups.
  • Internet: Required for displaying advertisements, checking for updates, verifying and managing Premium subscription purchases via Google Play and RevenueCat, and supporting optional third-party services such as crash reporting. Your mileage and fuel records remain stored locally on your device.

6. Data Security

Since your data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data relies largely on the security of your phone (such as screen lock, encryption, and device security settings). When you export data as CSV or PDF files, you are responsible for the storage and sharing of those files.
